Below is an email from a friend asking How to I get people to click play on my video and opt in to my list? I will always help out a friend, and you never know when you will get a good blog post out of an email. Lets be friends on Facebook by clicking here now www.facebook.com/greigwell

I wondered if you would give me your opinion on a change to my website that I need to make asap (webmaster standing by). www.autopilotfms.com

I want them to click on the big orange button. But it is just not happening. I need to change the copy on the button. Most people do not get that it is the presentation to learn what the company offers. Any suggestions?

How to Click on the button on my video

Some solutions:

First of all you can set your video to auto play so it starts automatically as soon as someone comes to your web page. They do not have to press the button.

If people are not clicking the video it means they don’t like the headline, You’ve got to split test different headlines.

Lastly consider that there are a lot of other links on this page. You give people other things to click on they get confused or they click on the other things. On my landing pages I have my video and my optin box, no other links or clickables because I work too hard to get them to this page. Also I’ve never seen a page with 2 videos on it. People may be overwhelmed and choose not to choose. Even the social media buttons I don’t have on my landing page, the landing page has one goal get them to give me their email and then watch my sales video.

Also your goal should be to get the opt-in.

Don’t over focus on the video. I would make them opt-in first before they even get to see the video. If they watch the video and don’t opt in you have nothing of value from that traffic. I’ve taken video off my landing page and just going with a teaser headline and my optins are soaring. 70% of my sales do not come at the first interaction, it comes after they opt-in, start getting daily emails from me where I proove myself, then they buy typically 5-30 days later. Focus on building the list.
